A "KEY" to Healthy Eating!

So today . . . we need to talk about the importance of eating "vegetables" EVERY meal.

That's right . . . I said EVERY MEAL" . . . not just every day.

This is a "key" element to correcting the body and reducing "inflammation".

The USDA recommends eating 5 -9 servings of fruits and vegetable per day. Which is 1 - 1/2 - 2 cups of fruit per day and 2 - 3 cups of vegetables per day.

So let me ask you this . . . and please be honest . . . Do "you" eat that many serving of fruit and vegetables everyday???

Well . . . the answer to that question is this . . . the average American of today . . . only eats about 1 serving of fruit and 1 - 1/2 servings of vegetables per day, which is a far cry from what the body actually needs for optimal health.

And the CDC states that only 1 out of every 10 people in the U.S. eats what is needed for a healthy body.

And with this . . . we all wonder why we're all riddled with "inflammation", illness and disease.

It's simple people . . . we don't eat enough veggies . . . I can't say it any plainer than that . . .

Now . . . as we know . . . "vegetables" are an important source of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fiber, folate, and vitamin A and C, which all can help to maintain healthy blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower the risk of eye and digestive problems and have a positive effect on blood sugar. Not to mention the "chronic inflammation" we've been talking about!

So we need to add a lot of variety and color to our plate.

Now . . . when we're doing an anti-inflammatory diet . . . we must be very mindful . . .

Why you ask???

Well . . . remember the other day when I said the average anti-inflammatory diet "doesn't" compensate for the fact that we are not only fighting "inflammation" . . . we also fighting a "bad" bacterial overgrowth

And most fruits . . . when the body is compromised . . . are the "enemy" due to containing natural sugars that "bad" bacteria LOVES to feed on. Therefore . . . this sugar allows this bacteria to grow fast and out of control, which makes for more "inflammation".

And at "this" point . . . we will "never" win this war. This is one of the reasons . . . we "fail" at dieting.

And tomorrow, I'll give you one more example with veggies. . .
