"ADHD" - how can we help?

So this week . . . let's talk about "Omega-3 fats" and "ADHD"

But first . . . what is "ADHD"???

Well . . . "Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder" (ADHD) . . . is among the "most" common "mental disorders" in children and teens.

And approximately 5.3 million children have already been diagnosed . . . ages 3 - 17.

But . . . this illness doesn't just affect children . . . it also affects more than 8 million adults

And conventional medicine states . . . typically this illness is "most" severe between the ages of 7 and 8 years old.

And out of that 5.3 million children . . . "boys" are "more" likely to be diagnosed with "ADHD" than "girls".

So what makes "ADHD" worse in children than in adults???

Well . . . adults have a few more years of wisdom and can better "understand" . . . what's happening.

Whereas . . . children have a harder time "understanding" why they struggle with excessive anxiety, persistent depression, compulsive behavior, difficulty with mood regulation or learning disorders.

And if "ADHD" isn't treated in some manor . . . it can lead to feelings of frustration, irritability and low self=esteem.

Okay . . . so what are some warning signs we need to be aware of???

Well . . . that would be . . .

Having a short attention span

Being easily distracted

Making careless mistakes in school or work

Appearing forgetful or losing things

Being unable to stick to tasks that are time-consuming

Appearing to be unable to listen to or carry out instructions

Some other symptoms would be . . .

Disorganization and problem prioritizing

Poor time management skills

Problems focusing on a task

Excessive activity and restlessness

Poor planning

And low frustration tolerance

So tomorrow . . . let's continue to better understand.
