"Bone Broth" do you love it?

Yesterday I spoke of "bone broth" being good for healthy digestion and intestinal health.

Well, today let's discover why you should be drinking it everyday.

As we know "Bone broth" is made by simmering the bones and connective tissue of animals. This highly nutritious stock is commonly used in soups, sauces and gravies. And has become a popular health drink.

"Bone broth" is rich in mineral that help build and strengthen our bones and also contains many other healthy nutrients such as protein, amino acids, essential fatty acids, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc and sodium.

It's been historically used as a digestive tonic for over 2500 years. And the reason for this is that "bone broth" supports the gut. How you ask???

Well . . . when "bone broth" is cooked . . . the collagen in it forms a gelatin. And collagen and gelatin contain amino acids such as "glutamine" that supports a healthy inflammatory response.

This in turn, will nourish our bones and joints and support joint mobility.

And if you're looking to have healthier, younger skin . . . the collagen in bone broth is the way you want to go.

You see . . . all those anti-aging skincare products on the market today advertise they contain collagen . . . and rightly so . . . because they do . . . but what the general public doesn't know . . .

Is that collagen molecules are "TOO" big to be absorbed through the skin . . .

So ultimately . . . you're wasting your money. You see . . . for collagen to work in the body . . . it has to be consumed internally not applied topically.

So what else can "bone broth" do for us???

Well . . . "bone broth" contains another amino acid called "glycine" that not only aids in body detoxification . . . this element supports the Central Nervous system. And when taken before bed . . . it supports sleep quality. Why???

Because "bone broth" contains glycine, calcium and magnesium and this combo is a powerful relaxant and sleep aid.

"Bone broth" is also an excellent option for "intermittent" fasting . . . we've spoken of this before and I did a Health tip on it. There's even a diet called the "Bone Broth Diet".

You see . . . doing a "bone broth" fasting can literally "reset" the "gut". You pull out all the toxins and give the body nothing but pure, healing nourishment.

Another good element to "bone broth" is that it can aid in weight loss. Drinking it in the morning can prevent those mid-morning sugar cravings. And you'll consume fewer calories due to regular consumption of bone broth due to feeling full. And this in turn, will make you less dependent on processed foods or sugar-loaded food items.

So now you ask . . . what bone broth is better . . . Chicken or Beef???

Well . . . the answer would be both . . . but for different reasons.

You see . . . both are great sources of amino acid, collagen and gelatin. BUT . . .

Chicken will have more hydrating minerals like potassium, magnesium and phosphorus.

Where beef has more collagen . . .

So whatever one you choose for whatever reason . . . just make sure it is organic and NO other ingredients (many contain sugars) and low in sodium.
