Breakfast Bars and Breakfast Drinks???

So let's take today and talk about these "breakfast bars" and "breakfast drinks" we are so obsessed with.
I know . . . they're quick and easy . . . and we're told they're "HEALTHY"
But the question is . . . ARE THEY REALLY???
So let's better understand the top 4 sold "breakfast bars" . . .
First up . . . the #1 seller - Strawberry Nutri-Grain Breakfast Bars
Now . . . it's made with whole grain oats, which is a good thing . . . because these oats are a rich source of fiber and can help fuel the body.
BUT . . . this bar also contains ENRICHED flours like wheat (remember we spoke of "enriched" a few day back and this means processed and it provides "empty calories" that make us even "more" hungry)
The other issue is this . . . whole grain oats are "gluten-free" BUT . . . Wheat is NOT . . so if you have a problem with "glutens" . . . this bar is going to be an uncomfortable health issue for you, for the rest of the day.
Okay . . . so let's continue . . . what else is in this bar???
Well . . . that would be . . .
"Soybean oil" - which is a "lectin" that can affect the "thyroid" and "adrenal" glands negatively. Plus it's GMO
"Sugar" - that feeds the "bad" bacteria in the body to grow fast and out of control causing "inflammation" and ultimately causing weight issues and all our aches and pains.
"Carrageenan" - which can cause bloating, inflammation and digestive issues
"Mono and diglycerides" - which are questionable because they are derived from soybean oil and animal fats.
And this breakfast bar also contains dextrose, fructose, corn syrup and invert sugars.
Which is enough SUGAR to feed an army of "bad" bacteria and cause us all kinds of "inflammation" for the day.
Not to mention . . . all that "sugar" makes us unsatisfied with what we've eaten and makes us what to find still something else to eat. And with this . . . we will "pick" poor food choices for the rest of the day.
So was this a good choice to start our day???
