"Caloric Surplus" - do you have this problem?

THIS IS A MUST READ PEOPLE!

So yesterday . . . we spoke about how many calories the body needs to maintain optimal health and weight

And I gave you an example of a calorie "RATIO" . . .

Meaning . . . what you put "into" the body . . . should equal . . . what the body "expends" out each day

This in turn . . . makes for a healthy weight . . .

BUT . . . if the "calories IN" . . . are more than the "calories OUT" . . .

This NOW . . . becomes a "CALORIC SURPLUS"

And that my friends . . . is what gaining weight is all about!

Now, add to that . . . all those "EMTPY CALORIE" and "NUTRITIONALLY VOID" foods we spoke of in previous Health tips . . .

And we're in "BIGGGGGG" trouble!!!!!

Okay people . . . so it's time to be "EMPOWERED" with "KNOWLEDGE"!

Did you know . . . that dieting has been around for about 2300 years???

And that the Journal of the American Medical Association states that dieting has become an 80 billion dollar industry???

And even with "US" as consumers spending that 80 billion dollars on pills, shake, drinks and programs . . .

78 million adults and 12 million children . . . are still obese today.

So clearly, we can see dieting and "its" magic as we know it today . . . JUST DOESN'T WORK!

Okay . . . so let's break it down . . . to better understand . . .

Fitness specialists and nutritionists have set up current guidelines that state an average healthy weight loss should be between 1/2 to 2 pounds per week . . .

Okay . . .

But did you know . . . that 1 pound of body "fat" contains 3500 calories.

Yes . . . you HEARD me right people!!!!!!

So in theory . . . for every extra pound of weight obtained . . . a person would've had to eaten an extra 3500 calories worth of food.

ALL TO GAIN JUST THAT "1" POUND OF "FAT" . . .

And to put that 1 pound of fat into perspective . . . that's about . . . 6 1/2 Big Mac's

Okay . . . so "now" . . . to "lose" that "SAME" 1 pound of "fat" . . . a person would have to burn off 3500 calories to accomplish that mission.

OR . . . reduce 3500 calories of "food" in that "week" to lose just that 1 pound . . .

Which eliminates about 500 calories of their daily food intake "EVERY" day just to lose that . . . 1 pound.

So I'll ask the question again . . . is "CALORIC SURPLUS" a problem for "YOU"???

Well tomorrow . . . let's better understand the "mechanics" of the human body and its process of losing weight.
