"CANDY" "CANDY" everywhere . . .

Alrighty then . . . so yesterday we spoke about a way to help "counteract" eating all that "candy" . . .

So, how else can we get through this holiday and NOT gain a pound???

Well . . . as I said yesterday . . . by NOT eating it . . for one . . .

But . . . if the "temptation" is too great . . . and that's NOT gonna happen . . . let's continue on.

So, let's do a little trivia first . . .

Did you know . . . Americans purchase nearly "600 million pounds" of candy each year for Halloween???

And an incredible "90 million pounds" of "CHOCOLATE" candy is sold during Halloween "week" . . . which is more chocolate sold . . . than in any other holiday . . .

And . . . according to the National Retail Federation's annual survey . . . U.S. consumers spend $2.6 billion on Halloween candy . . . which is about $25 per person on average.

And what about costumes to get in the mood for party time and/or that eating frenzy???

Well . . . Americans spend about $9 billion on costumes and decorations . . . averaging out to about $90 per person.

And how much of that "candy" . . . DO WE EAT???

Well . . . the average American eats . . . "3.4 pounds" of candy for Halloween.

Oh man . . . I put on weight just researching this . . .

Okay . . . next question . . .what's your favorite candy???

Well . . . the most popular "Halloween candy" would be . . .

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups . . .

And what were the runner ups???

Well . . . they were . . .

Snickers

Twix

KitKat

And M&M's

Now . . . what are the most 'disliked" candies for Halloween??

Well . . . #1 . . . was 'candy corn" . . . then . . .

Bit-O-Honey

Good & Plenty

Licorice

Smarties

Tootsie rolls

Necco wafers

Wax Coke bottles

Peanut Butter Kisses

And Circus Peanuts.

I'm not a candy person myself . . . so I didn't even know what half of these were . . . DID YOU???

Okay . . . so guess what the #1 candy SALE day is in the "WHOLE" year??

You got it . . .

October 28th . . .

And of all the 365 days in the year . . . the top 5 candy selling days are "ALL" in October . . .

That was totally amazing to me . . . I thought for sure that Easter would have been in the running.

Okay . . . so did you know this???

The average child or adult will eat about 3 cups (that's 144 teaspoons) of "sugar" on Halloween.

And that's about 16 times the maximum daily recommendation of 25 grams (that's 6 teaspoons) suggested by the American Heart Association.

SO WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE PEOPLE??????????

Okay . . . so now that the trivia is done . . . How much devastation is that candy going to cause our body???

Well . . . I guess that's up to whether "you" eat it . . .or not!

So, let's think twice before we eat that candy bar . . . Please!

Now tomorrow . . . we explore what that candy and sugar is "REALLY" doing to us.

This will truly . . . "BLOW YOUR MIND"!!!!!!!
