"Caramel" and "Diabetes"

So today . . . let's find out what part "caramel" can play in "diabetes".

You see . . . the "sugar" from caramel can "SPIKE" blood glucose levels . . . which can lead to "hyperglycemia".

And the U.S. National Library of Medicine says . . .

"Caramel" for FOOD COLORING is used globally . . . with one of the biggest uses being in "Cola" soft drinks . . . and this "caramel" is linked with diabetes . . . obesity . . . pancreatic cancer . . . and other endocrine disorders.

So why is this you ask???

Well . . . in the process of making "caramel" . . . a major by-product produced during "caramelization" . . . is called "4-methylimidazole" (4-MEI)

And the U.S, National Toxicology Program conducted a 2-year feeding study in mice and rats in 2007 . . . with the conclusion that there is "CLEAR EVIDENCE" of "CARCINOGINIC" activity.

And this study proved that there was a high rate of "lung tumors" in male mice . . . and a high rate of "leukemia" in female mice.

Okay people . . . this is our own country's medical professionals stating this.

And that was back in 2007 . . . 26 years ago.

Are you trying to tell me that NO ONE has continued this research and connected it to human illness???

Obviously NOT . . . because we're still of nation of Cola loving Americans.

Okay . . . so what about "chocolate" vs "caramel" . . .

Which one is worse???

Can you guess???

Well . . . believe it or not . . . "CARAMEL" is WORSE for us . . . than DARK chocolate.

So why does eating "caramel" make you "happier" than eating chocolate???

Well . . . "Caramel" is made from "PURE SUGAR" that's "caramelized . . .

Whereas . . . "chocolate" is made from a coco bean with some "sugar" added.

And the darker the chocolate . . . the less sugar it has.

So, if we're talking about the "highest" sugar fix . . . that would be consuming "caramel".

Okay . . . so tomorrow let's talk about how "caramel" affects our "kidneys".
