Correcting the "Vagus Nerve"

So yesterday . . . we spoke about a "test" you could do at home . . . for the "function ability" of the "vagus nerve" . . .

So how did you do???

Well . . . "IF" . . . your "uvula" . . . pulled to "one side or the other" . . . even "VERY SLIGHTLY" . . . or your "arch" was raised on "one side more than the other" . . .

Then you may have a "vagus nerve" dysfunction" going on . . . and you don't even know it!!!

Okay . . . so now we need to figure out how we can "reset" our "vagus nerve" . . .

And one way is this . . .

First . . . lie on your back on the floor or someplace with a firm surface . . . NOT A SOFT BED!

Next . . . interlace your fingers and bring them "behind" your head . . . right at the base of the skull.

Then . . . look with your eyes ONLY (do not move your head) to the "right" until you sigh, swallow or yawn

Then . . . repeat to the other side

This will help to "reset" the "vagus nerve" and put it back in ailment . . .

Now . . . I'm sure you're wondering . . . what the heck does "moving your eyes" has to do with this "nerve reset"???

Well . . . "pressure" on the eyes actually "stimulates" a reflex . . . and this "oculocardiac reflex" . . . can "stimulate" the "vagus nerve"!!!

Okay . . . so I mentioned the other day . . . a few more ways to "reset" this nerve . . .

So let's talk about "tapping" . . .

What is "that" you ask???

Well . . . "vagus nerve TAPPING" . . . involves "tapping" different parts of the "body" ever so gently . . . to "STIMULATE" the vagus nerve and "BALANCE" our autonomic nervous system.

And if you're unclear as to what the "autonomic nervous system" is . . .

It's a component of the peripheral nervous system that "regulates" involuntary physiologic processes like . . . heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, digestion, metabolism, inflammation . . . and sexual arousal.

So, how would we accomplish this mission???

Well . . . we would take a deep breath and "hold" it . . .

And while "holding" that breath . . . gently "tap" with your finger tips the top of the head 20x . . . then exhale

Next . . . again take a deep breath, hold it . . . and gently "tap" with your finger tips your eyebrows 20x . . . then exhale

Take another deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" with your finger tips the side of the eyes 20x . . . then exhale

Take another deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" with your finger tips your cheeks 20x . . . then exhale

Take another deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" with your finger tips under the nose 20x . . . then exhale

Take a deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" with your finger tips the chin 20x . . . then exhale

Again a deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" with your finger tips the collar bones 20x . . . then exhale

Deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" with your finger tips the thymus 20x . . . then exhale

Deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" your armpits 20x . . . then exhale

And finally . . . deep breath, hold . . . gently "tap" the spleen and liver area 20x and then exhale

This simple routine . . . can "stimulate" the "autonomic nervous system" and the "vagus nerve" . . .

And tomorrow . . . let's continue
