How to "Improve" our "Digestion"

Okay . . . so now you ask . . . are there other ways to improve our digestion???

Because I'm sure many of us are thinking . . . I don't like the sauerkraut, green leafy veggies or ginger we spoke of yesterday . . . so what do I do???

Well . . . some other ways to improve our digestion would be . . .

Eat real food instead of processed food, eat food rich in "fiber", consume healthy fats, drink lot of water to stay hydrated, manage your stress, exercise 30 minutes a day, eat lean meats, take "compliant" probiotics, avoid taking "conventional" antibiotics and get enough sleep.

And guess what people . . . one of the biggest factors to a healthy digestive system is . . .

You heard me right people . . .

You see . . . how many times you "chew" your food . . . determines how well we digest that food.

So can you guess how many time you're supposed to chew each and every mouthful of food???

Well . . . that would be "32 times" before swallowing . . .

Now . . . obviously it takes fewer chews to break down a soft food . . . but the goal with average food is to break down and loosen up the texture of that food so by the time it gets to the stomach and then the small intestines . . . it's broken down and the stomach doesn't have to work so hard.

Some other ways to increase and improve our digestion would be . . .

Eating 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of 2 or 3 large meals, eat well cooked food, avoid carbonated or fizzy beverages, avoid alcohol and making sure you are consuming enough liquid throughout the day containing electrolytes.

Another element would be . . . "LEMONS" . . .

You see . . . drinking more water can help to reduce the risk of constipation and . . .

adding "lemons" will help to "stimulate" healthy digestion and elimination of waste. You see . . . the acid in lemon juice will also help break down the food you consume more efficiently.

And tomorrow I'll give a "yummy" little recipe to help.
