It's "Mindful" Monday


So the question for today is this . . . what are your "CELLS" telling you?


Well . . . let's break it down . . .


"Cells" are the basic building blocks of all living things. And the human body is composed of trillions of these "cells", which provide structure for the body.


And these "cells" are metabolic enzymes that break down proteins, fats and sugars into energy packets that can be used to build and regulate the health of our "cells" so they can reproduce . . . making for a healthier "you"!


So why are our "cells" so important???


Well . . . our "cells" make up tissues . . . tissues make up organs . . . and organs make up our organ systems such as . . . the integumentary system, musculoskeletal system, respiratory system. circulatory system, digestive system, excretory system, nervous system, endocrine system and the reproductive system.


So how we treat and "listen" to our "cells" in "mindful" thinking . . . directly affects how the body and our organs function.


Plus . . . our "cells" contain our "DNA" . . . that communicate through direct contact, local chemical signaling and long-distance hormonal signaling.


But what if our "cells" can't "communicate" correctly???


Well . . . then the body finds itself with "uncontrolled" cell growth . . . leading to cancer.


And cancer cells . . . unlike our normal cells . . . can grow "FOREVER" . . . and this immortality leads to massive tumors, metastatic spread, and potentially re-emergence.


Now . . . I spoke of "telomerase" enzymes last week . . . and how "mindful" thinking can protect these "telomerase enzymes" in the body . . .


Well . . . guess what???


"Telomerase enzymes" helps to protect our DNA . . . and the more efficient the "telomerase" . . . the "longer" the body's life span. Whoohoo


And believe it or not . . . our "cells" actually "hear" everything that we say and think . . . both positive . . . and negative.


And this is where the act of practicing "mindfulness" comes into play.


Our thoughts and feelings can change the outcome of the body's physical state for better or for worse.


So it "is" true . . . that the mind has the ability to control our health!


Okay . . . so what did you do in your "quiet" mindful time this weekend???


Well . . . I enjoyed the sun on my face . . . the breeze in my hair . . . the sound of the bird . . . the smell of spring in the air . . . and the feeling of "tranquility" in my breathing.


And now I'm ready for anything that this crazy world has to offer this week.


You see . . . when the body craves this space of "mindfulness" . . . it needs to "recharge" its battery . . . so to speak . . .


And when we close our eyes . . . with each "breath" we take . . . we create space around the heart . . . that leads us to "trust" what we choose to enter that space.


So I'll leave you today with this thought . . .


Being a good social "speaker" . . . is what most people work on their "entire" life . . .


And with this . . . we "occupy" SPACE . . . with "SOUND" . . .


But . . . what we've forgotten . . . is the "important" part of "THINKING" and "BREATHING" . . .


which now "occupies "SOUND . . . with "SPACE"!


So tomorrow, let's talk more about the "vagus" nerve which we briefly spoke of last week. Let's discover its important role to "CELL" communication.
