It's "Mindful" Monday


So today . . . let's talk about the connection between "mindfulness" and "aging"


My "mindful" moment this weekend . . . was about acknowledging "age"


You see . . . many times we use our "age" as a crush.


You know . . . when we're quick to say we don't move as fast as we used to . . . we have aches and pain that weren't there before . . . we can't control our weight or we now have wrinkles that just seemed to appear one day . . .


We write them all off to . . . "AGE".


And maybe rightly so . . .


BUT . . . is there a way to help slow down the "aging process"???


Absolutely . . . and one way is with being "mindful"


So how does "mindful-AGING" protect us from getting old???


Well . . . believe it or not . . . "mindfulness" has a diverse range of positive "physical" and "emotional" outcomes among those aged 65 and over . . .


Why you ask???


Well . . . "mindfulness" helps us with better sleep quality, improves memory retention and reduces stress . . . therefore we have less anxiety.


Which all reduces the "inflammation" in our body helping to relieve muscle and joint issues.


And the breathing we do with "mindfulness" . . . increases our oxygen supply in the body . . . which in turn . . . helps the lymphatic system flush . . . which helps to reduce wrinkles.
