Keeping Skin "Healthy"

So today let's talk about how to help "prevent" damage to the DNA in our skin.

Now . . . the other day we spoke about the pH level of skin . . . and that skin is "mildly acidic" normally . . .

So when we add sunshine to it . . . and the moisture in our skin "decreases" . . . it becomes even more "acidic" and now we're in trouble.

So how do we "reduce" the "acidity" in our skin???

Well . . . as we age . . . our skin's ability to produce natural oils and the fatty acids we spoke of yesterday "decreases" . . . and as a result . . . the "acid mantle" gets "damaged" . . . which affects the pH balance of our skin.

Now . . . as I just said . . . our skin is normally a little "acidic" . . . and the reason is this . . .

"Slightly" acidic skin keeps "moisture" in and "bacteria" out . . . this is the delicate mechanics of the body . . . but if it's too "acidic" . . . it increases our chances of "inflammatory" skin conditions like eczema and acne . . . or even cancer.

So how do we "reduce" the "acidity" in our skin back to its "normal" state???

Well . . . using a good moisturizer and oil on our skin will keep it "hydrated" and help "rebuild" the "moisture" barrier so the skin doesn't get "too" acidic.

And tomorrow I'll give you my "secret" to keeping my "acid mantle" healthy . . . because as you know . . . working on our farm here at Miracle Meadows . . . I'm out in the sun and elements all the time.

As always, feel free to DM or contact me at: miraclemeadows.net/contact/
