"L-arginine", how is it destroying our health and weight?

Okay . . . so this is a listen up kind of day people . . . today we're going to talk about a very important part to weight loss and optimal health.

There's an "amino acid" called "L-arginine" or "Arginine", that is very important to the functioning of the human body.

As we know from previous Health tips . . . amino acids are the building blocks of protein. And "arginine" is an organic protein compound that the body "makes naturally".

Now . . . the body normally makes all the "arginine" it needs for optimal health and weight loss . . . but we also find this amino acid in many of the foods we eat on a daily basis.

So now you ask . . . what does "arginine" do for the body???

Well . . . this amino acid is in charge of wound healing, helping the kidneys remove waste products from the body, maintaining immune and "hormone" function and dilating and relaxing our arteries.

And one of the most important functions of "arginine" is to remove "ammonia", which is extremely toxic to the central nervous system, from our body.

Now . . . many people take "arginine" in supplement form for cardiovascular or erectile dysfunction because it opens blood vessels.

And many bodybuilders also take this supplement due to this amino acid's ability to increase growth hormone response and therefore . . . can increase muscle mass . . .

And as for "weight loss' . . . "L-arginine" reduces fat mass . . . and is known to increase the activity of "insulin", which manipulates hormones that metabolize "fats".

So as you can clearly see . . . we need this amino acid to function properly for optimal health and "weight loss".

And this is why I tell my clients . . . that the body has the "capability" to "lose weight naturally" without the "suffering of dieting".

You see . . . the body has a built in function for weight loss and that would be "arginine".

So why isn't the average American's body on this Western diet working properly???

Why can't we lose weight "naturally"???

Well . . . too much of this "amino acid" is "not" always a good thing!

Remember . . . if the body is working properly . . . its make just enough for optimal health and we don't really need the overflow.

So what's the harm???

Well . . . too much "arginine" in the body has a dark side also.

If we increase the amount of this amino acid in the body . . . it increases local "nitric oxide" (NO) production in the small intestine and this can become very harmful to our health.

It may cause headaches or migraines, damage brain cells leading to neurodegenerative disease like Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or promote "inflammation".

Too much "arginine" in the body can cause bloating, diarrhea, gout and worsen the breathing of someone with asthma.

And if that's not bad enough . . . too much of this amino acid can increase "TUMOR" growth. Too much "arginine" in the body is a proven factor for the facilitation of cancer.

And if you're one of the 59% of the reported American population that has some form of "HERPES" . . . than too much "arginine" is a problem for you also.

Why . . . because too much "arginine" in the body can trigger the "virus" to over react and cause a breakout or flare up.

And a good example of how we consume maybe too much "arginine" would be in our "protein drinks".

Remember the other day, we spoke of "plant based protein drinks"

Well . . . "peas" are one of the main elements and ingredients to most "plant based protein" drinks . . . and they're very high in "arginine".

And if we consume too many foods or drinks that contain high amounts of "arginine" or we take extra "arginine" in a supplement form . . . this excess amount of this amino acid can actually "block" the production of an another very important amino acid called "L-lysine" or "Lysine" that we "must" have for optimal health and weight loss.

So tomorrow we'll talk about "L-lysine" and marry the two together.

As always, feel free to contact me here
