"Lectins" and our "HORMONES"


So today . . . let's talk about how "lectins", "leaky gut" and "digestive issues" . . . can affect "HORMONE IMBALANCE" and our "weight loss" efforts


So, let's break it down to better understand . . .


First up . . . the "hormone" called . . . "INSULIN" . . .


Now . . . this "hormone" is produced by the "pancreas" . . . and "insulin resistance" is "triggered" by the over consumption of "lectin" containing foods.


A good example would be . . . "WHEAT" . . . this grain wreaks havoc on the body's "FAT" cells by "binding to the body's "Insulin"


And once this happens . . . "LECTINS" signal our "FAT CELLS" to "STOP BURNING FAT" . . . and . . . "STORE EXTRA CALORIES AS FAT"


So with this "hormone" . . . "eliminating" high "lectin" foods . . . will help correct "type 2 diabetes" and our weigh loss efforts.


Next up . . . the "hormone" called . . . "LEPTIN" . . .


This "hormone" is made by our "fat cells" . . . and is called the "hunger hormone" that "DECREASES" our appetite


It's the "nighttime" hormone (fasting) , , , that signals the body that we're "full" so we can get a good night's sleep


BUT . . . when "LECTINS" interfere . . . this leads to "obesity" . . . why you ask???


Well . . . "lectins" actually "turn OFF" this hormone called "Leptin" . . . therefore . . . we never feel "FULL" . . . and we find ourselves "eating" when we don't really need the calories to survive.


This will now become . . . "OVEREATING" . . . with "POOR" food choices!


Next hormone we need to talk about is called the . . . "GHRELIN" hormone


Now, this hormone is released mainly from the "stomach" . . . and is called the "daytime" hormone . . .


Why you ask???


Well . . . this hormone "INCREASES" the body's appetite . . . and "promotes" fat storage for a rainy day


This is the "SURVIVAL" hormone . . . which signals the body . . . that we're "hungry" and "need" to "eat". . . This hormone will "NEVER" let us "STARVE"!


BUT . . . if "lectins" interfere . . . this also leads to "obesity" . . . because "lectins" keep this hormone "active" . . . and therefore . . . "WE CAN'T STOP EATING"!!!


Next . . . the "GROWTH" hormone . . .


Now . . . these hormones are produced from the "pituitary gland" at the base of the skull . . . and they help to "breakdown" FAT tissue and cause the body to "BUILD" more "muscle mass"


BUT . . . if "lectins" interfere . . . the body will "retain" more "FAT" . . . and "less" MUSCLE


Now . . . the hormone called . . . "CORTISOL" is one of the most important hormones of all . . .


Why??


Well . . . it's made in the "adrenal glands" that sit above the kidneys and it's called the . . . "STRESS" hormone and the "BELLY FAT PRODUCER"!


And "IF" . . . this hormone is "working CORRECTLY" . . . it helps to control blood sugar levels, regulate metabolism, reduce inflammation . . . and "control" blood pressure.


BUT . . . if "lectins" interfere . . . the "Cortisol" hormone can . . .


Keep us awake a night . . .


Affect the ability to "FAST" . . . meaning it stops the "nighttime" appetite suppressant hormone "Leptin" from working correctly


It can "slow" down our "Growth hormone" . . . which in turn . . . can make our "daytime" hormone called "Ghrelin" . . . work double time . . . and now . . . "WE OVEREAT" ALL DAY LONG!


So at this point . . . we're in trouble!!!!


And the last hormone we're going to talk about today is the "THYROID" hormone


Okay . . . so this is IMPORTANT PEOPLE . . . LISTEN UP!!!


"Lectins" . . . can specifically "trigger" THYROID CELLS to "TALK TO" immune cells . . .


And with this . . . they can "attract" TOO MANY of these "immune cell" to the "THYROID GLAND"


Now . . . when this happens . . . this is considered one of the "early" stages in the "AUTOIMMUNE DESTRUCTION of the THYROID"!
