"Lysine" - continued

So today . . . let's continue talking about the wonders of the amino acid called "Lysine".
Now . . . yesterday I mentioned that "lysine" is not only essential for protecting us from "viruses" . . . it's also excellent for preventing and helping to control "diabetes".
You see , , , "lysine" has the ability to decrease blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. It can lower blood glucose, as well as act as an inhibitor of protein glycation.
So this is an excellent addition to the diet for people with diabetes. And for those of us that are borderline prediabetics (which is about 88 million adult Americans - yes, that's 1 in every 3 people has this condition) . . . "lysine" is excellent for prevention.
So not only do we need this amino acid called "lysine" to counteract "arginine"!!!! We need it for optimal blood sugar health.
Now . . . as we know . . . the body needs both these amino acids . . . but how do we get enough "lysine" and the right amount of "arginine"?
Well . . . we do that by understanding the "arginine"/"lysine" RATIO.
You see . . . many foods contain both . . . just different ratios.
