"Opill" . . . and "lactose"

Okay . . . so today . . . let's talk about the connection between this "birth control pill" and "lactose tolerance".

Another element in the "OTHER INGREDIENTS" list of this NEW little birth control pill called "Opill" . . . is . . . "lactose"

You see . . . "lactose" . . . is a "sugar" that is naturally found in milk and milk products . . . like cheese and/or ice cream.

But . . . many women are "lactose intolerant" . . . which causes "digestive symptoms".

And this is caused by "lactose malabsorption" . . . which is a condition in which the small intestine CANNOT digest or break down the "lactose" we consume.

And even though . . . "lactose" in healthy women can help the body absorb minerals like magnesium and zinc . . .

If we're "LACTOSE INTOLERANT" . . . this little "pill" CONTAINING "lactose" . . .

Can cause . . .

Stomach bloating

Intestinal gas

Nausea and vomiting

Stomach pain and cramping

Stomach gurgling or rumbling

And Diarrhea

Okay . . . so moving down the line of other ingredients in the NEW birth control pill called . . . "Opill"

It also contains . . . "Magnesium stearate" . . . which is an additive that's primarily used in medication capsules . . . and is called a "flow agent".

You see . . . it prevents the individual ingredients in that capsule from sticking together.

It's a "SYNTHETIC" additive that is used to "lubricate" finely ground elements . . . so they can FIT into the capsules or tablets . . . it also helps to fill up remaining space within the capsule.

Well . . . that doesn't sound too bad . . . even if it is man-made . . .right???

But . . . taken consistently . . . "magnesium stearate" . . . can cause "irritation" to the mucus lining of the "bowels".

This in turn . . . can cause a laxative affect, bowel spasms, trigger a bowel movement or even cause diarrhea.
