Picnic time is here . . . "Mustard" . . . good or bad?

So if you've purchased my "Meal Plan" pattern eating for weight loss and optimal health . . . you may have noticed in many of my recipes I use "organic mustard".

So what are the benefits???

Well . . . it can aid in reducing the severity of asthma, sooth a sore throat, bronchitis or pneumonia, decrease symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, inhibit the growth of cancer cells, stimulate and aid digestion and speed up the metabolism

"Organic" mustard is low in calories and cholesterol. A good source of omega-3 fatty acids and an excellent source of soluble "fiber", which aids in the management of blood sugar levels.

It's high in protein, and contains essential minerals such as calcium, iron, manganese, phosphorus, zinc and selenium . . . remember we've spoken many times about selenium's importance such as . . . reducing the risk of cancer.

"Organic" mustard also contains "magnesium" which as we know from previous Health tips can reduce blood pressure and aids in correct sleep patterns. Which also help women that are going through menopause.

So this is a wonderful little seed and condiment to consume . . . but not all mustard products are created equal.

We must use an "organic" mustard and one that doesn't have added ingredients such as eggs (because they most likely aren't cage-free), wheat flour (this is a high lectin and irritant to the body), honey (I'm sure it's not Manuka honey), table salt (its not pink Himalayan or Sea salt) and date sugar (this feeds the "bad" bacteria that causes havoc to our body and health).

Whereas . . . the one I use contains this: organic apple cider vinegar (multiple healing benefits), organic mustard seed, sea salt (not processed), and organic spices like turmeric and garlic (again, multiple healing properties)

So if you're looking for a compliant mustard for this picnic season . . . this is the "Dijon" mustard I use. You can purchase yours right from this link: https://amzn.to/3ud5AkH

And this is the "Yellow" mustard I use. Just click the like and purchase yours today:
