"Potassium" rich foods

Okay . . . so yesterday we spoke about "potassium" a little bit . . .
And today, we'll continue that conversation.
Now . . . yesterday I said that "potassium" is a mineral that the body's cells, nerves and muscles need to function properly.
And it helps to "regulate" blood pressure by removing extra "sodium" from the body via urine . . . it helps the walls of blood vessels to relax and loosen up, which can aid in "reducing" high blood pressure . . . and it helps to regulate heart rhythm, digestion and the water content in cells.
We also spoke about the CDC saying fewer than 2% of U.S. adults meet the daily requirement for "potassium" intake.
And that 98% of Americans . . . eat a "potassium deficient" diet . . . because we don't eat enough "PLANTS"!
And by getting 1600mg per day "more" in a potassium "intake" . . . this simple act would lower the risk of "STROKE" by 21%.
So come on people . . . it's time to listen up . . . preventing disease and illness is "doable" . . .
Okay . . . so here's another guess what moment . . .
Did you know that drinking that "caffeinated coffee" we love so much and feel we can't start our day without . . . "reduces" the absorption of "potassium" in the body.
And with that . . . tobacco, alcohol, drug addiction and "crash dieters" also "reduce" the absorption of "potassium".
So the question for today is this . . . is the reason we are so depleted of "potassium" due to our love of "COFFEE"??? . . . or is it . . . we just aren't eating "potassium valued food???
Okay people . . . this is "so" very wrong . . . "potassium" is an "electrolyte" that is "ESSENTIAL" for the body's growth and maintenance to keep a normal balance of fluid between the cells and body fluid.
This "mineral" is a must have for optimal health . . . and 98% of us are "DEFICIENT"
Is this the "mystery" element to optimal health???
Okay . . .so how can we tell if we're lacking this important mineral . . . other than knowing we just don't eat enough "plant foods"???
Well . . . the body would show signs of constipation, feelings of a skipped heart beat or palpitations, fatigue, muscle damage, muscle weakness or spasms, tingling or numbness in the arms, hands and/or feet, sleep disturbances and even "anxiety".
So where can we get the "highest" amount of "potassium" to replenish a proper function to the body???
Well . . . that would be . . .
Avocados, sweet potatoes, spinach, broccoli, watermelon, coconut water, tomato paste (no sugar added kind), beet greens, bananas (watch out for the sugar though), oranges, cantaloupe, honeydew, apricots, raisins, mushrooms, cucumbers (skinned and deseeded), zucchini (skinned and deseeded), pumpkins, leafy greens, Salmon, Halibut, Cod, Trout, almonds, walnuts and wild rice, just to mention a few,
And how much is the recommendation for a daily intake???
Well . . . that would be . . .
Between 3500 and 4700 mg per day. But don't guess . . . you would need to consult your own healthcare provider to see how much you would need "if" you're going the "supplement" route of adding "potassium" back into the body.
But what you can do is start eating more "plant food"
