Time to get in shape!

Okay people . . . It's time to be "EMPOWERED" with "KNOWLEDGE"!

So did you know . . . that dieting has been around for about 2300 years???

And that the Journal of the American Medical Association states that dieting has become an 80 billion dollar industry???

And even with "us" as consumers spending that 80 billion dollars on pills, shake, drinks and programs . . .

78 million adults and 12 million children . . . are still obese today.

Clearly we can see dieting and its magic . . . just doesn't work!

We've just spent the past few days talking about "ketogenic" diets and supplements because we ALL want that slim, trim, awesome looking body.

And most of us want it . . . NOW!!!

So let's break this dieting thing down to better understand . . .

Fitness specialist and nutritionists have set up current guidelines that state an average healthy weight loss should be between 1/2 to 2 pounds per week . . .

So let's break it down even more and think about this . . . 1 pound of body "fat" contains 3,500 calories.

So in theory . . . for every extra pound of weight obtained . . . a person would've had to eaten an extra 3,500 calories worth of food. All to gain just 1 pound of fat . . .

And to put that into perspective . . . that's about 6 1/2 Big Mac's

Okay . . . and "now" . . . to "lose" that same 1 pound . . . a person would have to burn off 3,500 calories to accomplish that mission. Or reduce 3,500 calories of food in that week to lose that pound of fat . . . that person would have to eliminate about 500 calories of their daily food intake every day to lose that 1 pound.

So clearly we can see . . . why there's such a frenzy of "keto" pills on the market today . . .

Nobody wants to wait a month or year to lose their extra weight.

I get it! I do get where the average American's mind set is . . .

But the question for today is this . . . Is cutting corner by taking these fad diet supplement or diets (and it doesn't matter what diet plan you use) the real answer to obtaining a healthy weight loss????

And the question we as consumers should be asking . . . is what happens when we stop taking that magic pill or stop the food plan we're on???

So let's explore . . . To lose weight, we must first understand the "mechanics" of the human body.

We need to have a better understanding of how many calories the body needs on any average day . . . now mind you . . . I'm not a calories count . . .

But we do need to understand this process . . .

It's not about taking a magic pill. It's about correcting the body's "internal dialogue" so we "can" burn calories efficiently on our own. Which obviously . . . we're not.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services . . . the average adult woman expends roughly 1,600 to 2,400 calories per day. And the average adult man uses 2,000 to 3,000 calories per day.

So tomorrow, we'll continue this conversation and learning process on how to get rid of the unwanted pound naturally.
