Time to get in "shape" - part 6

So we've spoken about a lot these past few days.

And today, we continue with the understanding of how to lose weight.

Now . . . for the most accurate measurement of weight . . . you will need to weigh yourself first thing in the morning after the first pee of the day because the body has had adequate time to digest and process the food from the day before.

As we know, another element to measuring weight loss is the flushing out of the body with toxins and excess water weight. The byproducts of fat metabolism leaves the body as water . . . in ways such as through the skin as sweat, the kidneys when you urinate and carbon dioxide through the lungs when you exhale. So we want to make sure all 3 of these elimination avenues are working correctly.

Another important factor to weight loss is "when" to drink water to do that flushing. You see . . . drinking a glass of water 30 minutes before every meal will keep you from overeating and with this . . . it's an effective way to control calorie intake,

It's also very important "NOT" to drink "anything" during a meal or right after a meal . . . any meal!

Why???

Well . . . drinking water or any liquid with a meal may cause "acidity" in the stomach, as water (or any liquid) dilutes the gastric juice released in the stomach and slows down the process of digestion. And with this . . . the undigested food in the stomach can cause acid reflux and heartburn.

So next . . . we need to understand the "mechanics"

As I just started . . . first and foremost . . . if the body is unable to get rid of fluid, toxins, waste, etc. . . . all the dieting in the world will NOT accomplish your mission. And yes, if we starve ourselves we'll lose some weight . . . but we can't sustain that lifestyle and we will just put that weight or even more back on. This is "yo-yo" dieting.

And remember yesterday when we spoke of the natural function of the body to gain and lose weight. Well . . . this is why we become so disproportionate.
