What are "Weight-loss Drugs" REALLY all about?

Good morning my friends . . .

I hope to find you well

We got "hammered" with more snow and frigid weather this weekend .. . .

So, today . . . we NEED to talk about all those "weight loss" DRUGS . . . and "what" they're REALLY doing to our body and health!!!

First question . . . what "are" weight loss drugs?

Well . . . they're said to "help" people lose weight by "reducing appetite" . . . slowing digestion . . . or . . . blocking fat absorption . . .

And this is done by . . . MIMICING our hormones . . . to make us feel "full" longer . . .

And they can be administered via pills or injections . . .

Now . . . the FDA . . . says they're SAFE and EFFECTIVE!!!

Right there my friends . . . should be sending up the "BIG RED FLAG" . . .

NOTHING . . . the FDA or Pharmaceutical industry "approves" is really . . . SAFE and EFFECTIVE for us a humans!!!

Because "IF" it was . . . "DIETING" wouldn't be a $90 BILLION industry . . .

Of course . . . this is just one person's opinion . . .

And with that being said . . .

Let's break it down to better understand my claim and research . . .

Now . . . on the market today we have . . .

Wegovy - weekly injection

Zepbound -weekly injection

Saxemda - daily injection

Qsymia - oral pill

Contrave - oral pill

Orlistat - oral pill

Phentermine - oral pill

And they "reduce" appetite . . . "increase" fullness . . . and/or . . . block fat absorption!

Now . . . the FDA says . . . these "drugs" are for "chronic weight management" . . .

But . . . the "medical profession" is prescribing them to many of us . . . with a "significant surge" currently due to so many new "weight loss drugs" on the market . . .

This is BIG MONEY for them PEOPLE!!!

Now . . .historically . . .

In the 1950s - 1970s . . . new drugs were on the market . . . and this was now a big business with prescriptions exceeding $18 million in the U.S.

We all wanted to be part of the "thin crowd"!!!

But, then in 1997 . . . there was a dramatic "decreased" in sales due to these "drugs" having a "LINK" to serious "heart valve" damage.

From that point in history until the 2010s . . . "weight loss drugs" remained low due to safety concerns including an increased risk of HEART ATTACK and STROKE!!!

But then . . . at the beginning of the "pandemic" . . . 2020 . . . the pharmaceutical industry introduced NEW and more effective "drugs" to the public.

Of course they did . . . TIMING is EVERYTHING my friends . . .

They had us in "lock down" for years . . . just fattening us up . . . so they could "drug" us again and make money off of our obesity!!

Sorry people . . . this system just pisses me off some times . . .

And unfortunately . . . in 2023 . . . just 3 years after introducing new weight loss drugs for public use . . .

Statistics NOW show that 92% of all primary care physicians in the U.S. . . . reported actively prescribing these NEW WEIGHT LOSS DRUGS!!!

So, tomorrow . . . let's continue and talk about each "drugs" to better understand what we're getting ourselves into!
