What Foods "Promote" a Healthy Mouth and Teeth?

So the question for today is this . . . What foods "promote" healthy teeth and therefore . . . a healthy immune system and body???

Well . . . that would be . . . "Calcium-rich" foods like salmon, almonds and dark green leafy vegetables also promote strong teeth and bones.

And . . . there's a mineral called "phosphorus" in eggs, fish, lean meat, nuts and beans that is excellent for making teeth strong.

Foods "high" in "protein" like eggs, fish, lean meat and poultry can also help protect the "enamel" on the teeth and improve bone density.

Now . . . foods "high" in water content and "fiber" like fruits and vegetables such as apples, celery, radishes and carrots . . . "stimulate" proper saliva production and can help wash away food particles, "neutralize acids" and prevent decay

"Green tea" can boost "periodontal health" by preventing bone resorption, reducing "inflammation" and "inhibiting" the "growth" of "bad" bacteria which causes gum disease.

"Cranberries" disrupt the formation of "glucan" which acts as a building block for "plaque".

"Mint" has the ability to "kill" bacteria that causes bad breath.

"Onions" contains "microbial" properties that harm common types of bacteria that cause cavities and gum disease.

"Leafy Greens" are rich in minerals and contain little to no "sugar" . . . they also contain "phytochemicals" that can help fight "bad" bacteria.

"Shiitake Mushrooms" helps to prevent cavities and gum disease

"Almonds" are "high" in "calcium" and low in "sugar" and promote proper saliva production.

And finally . . . "Ceylon" Cinnamon contains natural plant oils called "cinnamic aldehyde" which can kill "oral" bacteria.

And tomorrow, we'll talk about the specific "bacteria" that's found only in the mouth that can cause many health issues in the body.
