Okay . . . so here's what my research found . . .
Around the early 1960's . . . the FDA approved a "drug" (and I use that term loosely because it is nothing other than natural elements combined) called . . .
And in the alternative world of medicine, it has been widely used for multiple ailments for decades.
So what does NAC stand for???
Well . . .
N - standing for Nitrogen, which is important to all living things including us. And it has a key role in plant growth.
Acetyl - is an acid like in "vinegar"
And L-cysteine - is the amino acid we've been talking about.
In 1963 . . . the combination of these elements were made into a supplement form.
Now . . . this "combination" of elements "together" are not found in natural sources . . . therefore, the FDA called it a "drug". And it was sold over-the-counter for decades with amazing results.
You see . . . NAC was absorbed well into the body, safe for the human body and highly effective as a component that "drastically improved immune health".
NAC is a powerful antioxidant . . . that has the ability to reduce DNA damage. NAC is also marketed for its liver-protective properties and to support healthy immune functioning. It can relieve symptoms of respiratory conditions, loosen mucus in the air passageways and help replenish "glutathione" levels in the lungs in people with cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
This was a good thing the FDA did in 1963.
Now . . . for 47 years, NAC was a commonly used supplement with amazing results.
But . . . in "2010" . . . there was a rumble starting . . . The FDA was "now" questioning NAC and ready to pull it off the shelf. And if we remember our history correctly . . . 2009-2010 was the Swine flu virus global "pandemic", but at that time . . . nothing changed. NAC was still allowed to be sold as an over-the-counter supplement.
But . . . in "2020" at the beginning of "this" pandemic . . . anyone that advertised or reported that "NAC" worked wonders against cracking open the protective shell of this "VIRUS" or helped with ANY ailment or disease . . . was told by the FDA they could "NOT" do so . . . due to there not being enough conventional scientific evidence.
What??? The FDA approved this supplement to be sold 57 years ago . . . so how could they "now" be stating there's not enough scientific evidence for "any" ailment.
Okay . . . so moving right along . . . on Nov. 2, 2020 . . . the U.S. National Library of Medicine, National Institute of Health released this report stating . . . (not typing this virus name, so I don't get flagged)
"Exploring new applications of "existing" medications could potentially provide valuable treatments for CO___-__. NAC has been used in clinical practice to treat critically ill septic patients, and more recently for COV__-__ patients. NAC has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating characteristics that may prove beneficial in the treatment and prevention of SARS-Cov-2. This review offers a thorough analysis of NAC and discusses its potential use for treatment of C____-19".
This sounds like the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing?
Well . . . it gets worse . . . early this year in 2021 . . .
The FDA stated . . . NAC "could not" be lawfully marketed as a dietary supplement. Even though it had been sold in supplement form (with nothing changed) since 1963. And for more than 57 years, it was a valid supplement helping people with cancer, viruses, etc.
How could this be???
Well . . . in an article written by Smarter Reviews, they state . . .
"Conventional and Alternative doctors have been using NAC for years to treat issues ranging from heart and lung to mental health. And most importantly . . . for its amazing immune-boosting capabilities."
They go on to say . . . "the effectiveness of NAC is so "well-documented" . . . the World Health Organization has designated it as an "ESSENTIAL MEDICINE".
Alrighty then . . . are you kidding me?
The United States National Library of Medicine and the World Health Organization both stated that NAC was a good thing for us . . .
But . . . the FDA says it's NOT!
Are you thinking the same thing I'm thinking?
And in July of 2021, just a few months ago . . . it was official . . . NAC is "banned" in the U.S
Well . . . tomorrow, I'll tell you more and then you decide what the heck it going on.
