Okay . . . so the question for today is this . . . why are we "SO" abscessed with "carbonated" and "sparkling" beverages these days???
Well first . . . it doesn't matter whether it's a "carbonated" drink or a "sparkling" water . . . they've "BOTH" been injected with "carbon dioxide" (CO2).
So simply put . . . it doesn't matter whether you're drinking soda, sparkling water, club soda, soda water, seltzer water or fizzy water . . . they all include "carbon dioxide" dissolved in that beverage.
Now . . . this "carbon dioxide" is a colorless and flavorless "gas" that gives a beverage its BUBBLES and FIZZ!
And the "carbonated" drink that contains the MOST "carbon dioxide" is????
You guessed it . . .
Coca-Cola . . . with a "volume share" of 44.9%
And to give you a little comparison . . . sparkling water has a "volume share" of 4%
So the next question for today is this . . . is it "SAFE" to consume so many "carbonated" beverages???
Well . . . "carbonated" drinks do a couple of things "to" and "for" the body.
The "good" news . . .
Many studies show that "carbonated" WATER . . . improves satiety . . . or a feeling of fullness.
And it "IS" water that we're drinking . . . so it "can" help the body stay "hydrated"
BUT . . . with that being said . . .
The "bad" news is this . . .
Drinking too many "carbonated" beverages during the day . . . can cause a problem with our "tooth enamel" . . . among other health issues.
