What "Stimulates" . . . our "Migrating Motor Complex"?


So today . . . let's continue talking about the "Migrating Motor Complex" system in our "stomach" and "small intestine".


Now . . . if you "hear" your stomach "growling" at you . . . between meals . . .


Then your "MMC" is working like a "champ" . . .


You see . . . MMC is a series of muscles and natural chemicals within the "stomach" and "small intestine" . . . that "sweep" food "WASTE" into the "large intestine" . . . for elimination!


And with this . . . it also "cleans" the small intestine of "BACTERIA" throughout the day . . .


In between meals when fasting . . . that is.


So, that "growling" is just the MMC doing it natural routine of "housekeeping"!!!


But . . . if you "DON'T" hear or feel that "growling" in the stomach between meals . . .


SOMETHING IS SO VERY WRONG!!!!


So, how can we fix this problem of our MMC "not" working properly for optimal "digestion"???


Well . . . if you're looking for an all natural remedy . . . then "ginger and artichoke extract" fits that bill . . .


Why you ask??


Well . . . that would be due to this combination "stimulating" the MMC to do its "housekeeping" of the digestive tract.


You see . . . this process promotes "bile" production in the "liver" . . . which "increases" bile flow . . . and also supports our "good bacteria" . . . Whoohoo!!!!


"Ginger" also "increases food "transit time" through the stomach . . . and improves bile acid and "pancreatic enzyme" production . . . which all can lead to "improved digestion".

So, what else can "help" and "correct" a SLOW "migrating motor complex" system???


Well . . . drinking "water" in between meals instead of "snacking" on food . . .


This . . . will help our MMC get back on track.


Now . . . I know some of you are "NOT" on the "water train" . . . and don't like drinking it . . .


So . . . you can add to that "water" . . . black tea, lemon or herbal teas . . .


BUT remember . . . our MMC doesn't start its cleaning function until 90 minutes after you've finished your meal.


And this is due to the stomach and small intestine "needing" that 90 minutes to "digest" the food you just ate.


And once this food is digested . . . the MMC can now "clean house" to prepare for the next meal.


So . . . even though drinking water is a "must" for our MMC . . . we shouldn't drink or eat ANYTHING for that 90 minutes.


Okay . . . so how else can we get our "migrating motor complex" working correctly again???


Well . . . that would be with the "stimulation" of the "Vagus nerve".

You see . . . our body relies on the "vagus nerve" to "coordinate" intestinal "mobility" and MMC.
