So the question for today is this . . . WHY DOES "JUNK FOOD" MEAN "SOOOOOO" MUCH TO US???
And why do we "think" . . . "sleep" . . . and "live" for this food . . . and the "CRAVINGS"???
Well . . . LISTEN UP PEOPLE . . . because one of the "biggest" reasons is this . . .
When we try to "diet" . . . most people either . . . "cut" calories . . . "take" pills or shakes . . . and/or . . . "exercise" ourselves to death . . . to try to accomplish the mission of . . . losing some weight.
But . . . as I mentioned the other day . . . "losing weight" and "optimal health" . . really isn't about all that . . .
It's about . . . the "mechanics" of the human body . . . and "correcting" the body's "internal dialogue".
So let me ask you this . . .
How many times have you told yourself . . .
I'm going to start my diet on Monday because I'll have a clear state of mind . . . the weekend is behind me . . . and I can start off fresh . . .
Or . . . what about . . . I don't have anything going on next week that would cause me to cheat . . . so let's start on Monday
Well . . . we've all been there before . . .
We've all made "promises" to ourselves . . . "that THIS time" . . . we're going to follow through and not quit our diet.
Now . . . we "all" have good intentions of being able to complete that first week.
But . . . most of us "don't" even get through the "first" day . . . let alone . . . that first week.
So why is that????
Well . . . it's not for lack of trying . . . because our "heart's" are in the right place
So why do we "fail"???
Is it just "TOO" hard???
Do we have the wrong diet???
Or are there "hidden" elements in the brain that "control" the outcome of our efforts???
Well . . . LISTEN UP . . . because this is the "real" deal . . .
There are actually 2 chemicals in the brain called "dopamine" and "endorphin" . . . that regulate "how" we "think" . . . and "how" the body "acts" to that thnking
And next week . . . we'll discover the possibility that "this" is why we "crave" sinful foods.
