Okay people . . . so with Halloween coming up soon . . . I thought we'd talk about one of the all time favorites for that holiday . . .
And then . . . we'll figure out just how . . . "caramel" fits into our "supplements"
So, did you know . . . "caramel" is all about "indulgence" that satisfies our "sweet tooth"???
But . . . did you "also" know . . . "CARAMEL" . . . is nothing other than . . . "BURNT" sugar???
That's right . . . "caramel" is simply "sugar" that's "melted" down . . . and darkened to an amber color . . . which leaves it with a deep and bittersweet flavor.
And guess what???
It's the "MOST" widely used "food coloring" in the WORLD.
Now . . . there are 4 classification of "caramel" . . .
Caramel Color 1 . . . also known as plain or spirit caramel
Caramel Color 2 . . . known as sulfite caramel
Caramel Color 3 . . . which is used for ammonia or beer, baking and confectioner's
Caramel Color 4 . . . is used for soft drinks or acid-proof caramel
So in essence . . . "caramel" . . . is used in just about everything we eat or drink these days
Like what you say???
Well . . . that would be . . . colored beverages like brandies . . . or . . .
And processed meats
Just to mention a few . . .
And "salted" caramel is used in . . .
On apple slices
Mixed with yogurt
On cinnamon rolls
And on brownies
So the next question we need to ask is this . . .
Is "caramel" ADDICTIVE???
And HOW DOES IT AFFECT OUR HEALTH???
