So, yesterday we discovered that many of the "high" nutrient foods we consume . . . or should consume . . . are also "high" in "OXALATES"!
So, today's question is this . . . how do we "FLUSH" them out of the body???
Well . . . we can do things like . . .
Drink enough water every day
Choose water over other drinks
Avoid eating too much animal protein
Get enough calcium in the diet
"Pair" a high-oxalate food with . . . a "high-calcium" food
And eliminate salt and sugar
You see . . . "oxalates" bind with "calcium" in the colon . . . neutralizing the "calcium's" impact on our health . . .
So . . . "pairing up" high oxalate foods with "calcium-rich foods" like . . .
Bone Broth
Wild caught Salmon
Sardines
Dairy
and Shellfish
Can "reduce" the negative effect "oxalates" have on the body.
And the "biggest" FLUSHING process is drinking LOTS OF WATER TO FLUSH OUT THE KIDNEYS!!!
Now . . . I'm NOT saying to STOP eating foods high in oxalates . . .
I'm just saying we have to have a "balance" . . . because high oxalate foods . . . are also "very" rich in nutrient value!!!
Okay . . . so here's a few more foods that can help to "flush" out the body . . .
Lemons
Blackberries
Blueberries
Cherries
Apples
Apricots, Peaches
Mustard greens
Broccoli
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Mushrooms
Onions Zucchini
Eggs
Lean Meat
Fish
Poultry
So, tomorrow . . . let's talk about "Phytates" . . . the other element in the "magnesium rich foods"
