"What we Eat" . . . and "Addiction"!

So, yesterday . . . we discovered that . . . "what we eat" . . . can cause "addictive behavior" on ALL LEVELS!!!
And that . . . "food addictions" . . . are increasingly recognized as "behavioral addictions" with strong links to "mental health issues" in today's world!!!
And this is driven by "highly palatable foods" . . . that TRIGGER "feel-good" chemicals in the brain . . .
Which lead to . . .
Compulsive behavior
Withdrawal symptoms
Depression
And anxiety
You see . . . the "calories" we eat . . . AREN'T just calories . . .
They're . . . 'EMOTIONAL REGULATORS" . . . that impact our brain functions like . . .
Mood and self-esteem . . .
And this now become a viscous cycle . . .
We eat "poor choice" foods . . . they cause an "imbalance" in the brain . . . which causes addictive behavior . . . which causes us to want MORE POOR CHOICE FOODS.
And PEOPLE . . . this pattern never ends . . . no matter how hard we try!!!
This is why . . . "Dieting Doesn't Work"!!!
We need to BREAK the CYCLE my friends!!!
