Allergies . . . what do we know?

So, yesterday . . . we spoke about the #1 "allergen" in September being to . . . "ragweed".
And today . . . we're going to talk about the second most common allergy. . .
With that being . . . "mold spores"!!!
You see . . . as we know . . . "mold spores" are FUNGI that multiply in "decaying" leaves and damp areas.
And September (early fall) . . . having the perfect conditions . . . for mold spores to grow.
It starts with an increase of moisture in the air . . . allowing mold from decaying leaves to grow . . . mature . . . and release spores "into" the air.
This most commonly happens with a temperature between 77F and 86F.
So, be prepared for "allergies" to rear their ugly head in "Indian summer" people!
And with this . . . September often brings increased rainfall . . . which further contributes to "dampness" and provides the moisture that MOLD needs to grow and release spores.
Now . . . if you're a person that uses organic woodchips on your garden(s) in the spring and early summer for their beauty and organic feel . . .
By September . . . that organic matter . . . is NOW decaying . . .
This is also true . . . for winter woodpiles that have been sitting all summer uncovered
And then . . . there's water left stagnant . . . like in potted plants.
This all . . . causing "mold" to grow.
Another element . . . is "INDOOR" moisture . . .
You see . . . when we "seal" up our home . . . getting ready for the winter months ahead . . .
This "traps" moisture indoors . . . leading to mold growth in bathrooms, kitchens, and basements.
So, now that we know why and where these 2 allergen are lurking . . .
The next question we need to ask is . . . why does our "body" react . . . as it does???
And why do "allergies" affect some people . . . but not others???
Well, tomorrow . . . let's explore the possibilities
