Does "Winter" damage our "Hair"?

So yesterday we spoke about why "cold/dry" weather can damage our "hair".

And today let's continue with a few ways to help this situation out and "calm" our "hair" for the Holidays.

First up . . . How to prevent "frizzy" winter hair???

Well . . . yesterday we spoke about how the "cold" temperature "outside" and the "hot" temperature "inside" are what messes with our "hair" . . . so using "warm" water to wash your "hair" will definitely help to tame the mane and keep the "moisture" in our hair.

Next . . . stop using a "hair dryer" . . . let your "hair" dry naturally . . . this will also keep more "moisture" in the "hair shaft"

Another issue we have to deal with is . . . "aging" . . . the older that we get . . . the "texture" of our "hair" changes dramatically . . .

You see . . . our "hair" slowly becomes drier, coarser and thinner over the years. And this is due to the "oils" that our scalp "relies" on for nourishment "decreasing" . . . resulting in drier, frizzier hair . . .

Now add to that . . . "cold" weather . . . and we're in big trouble.

So . . . we need to regularly "oil" our hair . . . especially as we age . . . but not just any oil treatment . . . there's a specific oil that does wonders for our "hair" that we'll talk about later.

Okay . . . so how often should be "wash" our hair in the "winter" to prevent it from being "dry" and unmanageable???

Well . . . that would be . . . once or twice a week.

That's right people . . . stop washing your "hair" EVERYDAY!!!!

Now . . . if you think this is an "impossible" feat to accomplish . . . due to your "hair" feeling unclean . . .

Then you're using the wrong "SHAMPOO"

And what about the "hot tools" we use on our hair???

Well . . . we need to keep that temperature between 2oo - 300 degrees when blow drying, straightening or curling our hair.

Once again . . . this will help to keep the "moisture" in our "hair"

Okay . . . so tomorrow let's talk about how food and alcohol over the holidays can also wreak havoc on our hair.
