So today . . . let's figure out how and why . . . we as Americans . . . have an "issue" with our "BONES"!
As I stated yesterday . . . this Western diet we love so much . . . which includes all those "GMO foods" . . . is highly "ACIDIC" to the human body.
And when the body is "TOO" acidic . . . it's the job of the "KIDNEYS" and "LIVER" to "remove" that acidity",
And unfortunately . . . as we "age" . . . the "kidneys" and "liver" . . . become less and less "effective" in this process.
So what "happens" when the "kidneys" can't keep up and "filter" out this "acidity" caused by this GMO food we consume???
Well . . . simply put . . .
The body starts "looking" ELSEWHERE for ways to "restore" the "acid-base" balance of the body.
Meaning . . . the body will start pulling "alkaline" pH minerals . . . from other parts of the body to "counteract" the "acidity" of GMO foods that were presented to the body.
And this is done to "HELP" the "kidneys" and "liver" do their job.
But . . . where does the body find this "alkaline pH base mineral"???
Well . . . that would be in our . . ."BONES"
You see . . . "bone" . . . is dynamic . . . some of it is "always" being "formed" by "osteoblasts" . . . (which is bone cell growth) . . .
While other "bone cells" . . . are being "broken down" and "dissolved" . . . by "osteoclasts".
This is the "natural" function of our ever growing "bone".
You know the rule of . . . something in . . . something out!
Well unfortunately . . . an "INCREASE" of "acidity" in the body . . . "enhances" the activity of "osteoclasts" . . . and therefore "increasing" the risk of "osteoporosis"!!!
And foods that affect the "osteoclast" part of this function (the breaking down) . . . are common foods like . . .
High-protein foods like meat, fish and eggs
SUGAR
COFFEE
ALCOHOL
AND MOST GRAINS
And this surge of "osteoclast" (the breaking down of bone cells) is the cause of "OSTEOPOROSIS"
