Resetting our "Ghrelin Hormone"

So, as we now know . . . the hormone called "Ghrelin" . . . is produced in the stomach . . . and signals the brain that it's TIME to EAT!!!


This is our "HUNGER" hormone . . . that makes sure we never "starve"!!!


So, how do we "reset" this hormone you ask???


Well . . . we can "stabilize" it by . . . "prioritizing sleep" . . .


You see . . . "poor" sleep or getting LESS than 7 - 8 hours . . . "increases" Ghrelin levels . . . leading to HIGHER HUNGER during the next day.


Another thing we can do is to consume more "protein" . . .


This simple adjustment in our diet can "suppress" this hormone . . .


Also . . . AVOIDING processed/sugary foods . . .


Why you ask???


Well . . . many of these foods contain "high-fructose" corn syrup . . . which can interfere with the "post-meal" DECREASE of Ghrelin


Meaning . . . it can keep this hormone . . . TURNED ON . . . and then we eat MORE and POORLY all day long.


We would also need to STOP all these "extreme" diets . . .


As we've spoken before . . . "drastic" calorie restrictions can INCREASE the Ghrelin hormone . . .


And this is due to the body "thinking" its STRAVING!!!


Which in turn . . . makes it even harder to lose weight . . .


This is why "FASTING" is NOT a good thing . . .


And "INTERMITTENT" fasting . . . should only be done for 2 day in a row . . . and then NOT for another month . . .


And finally . . . regular physical activities . . . especially cardio . . . has been shown to "reduce" Ghrelin levels . . .


So, get that body "moving" people!!!


And "stop" with all these "fad" diets . . . and "skipping" meals!!!!
