The "Liver" and our "Cholesterol" continued . . .

So, yesterday . . . we discovered that the "liver" makes 80% of all the "cholesterol" the body needs for optimal health . . .
AND that . . . the body can actually survive on just that 80%.
But . . . we also discovered that the body can handle another 20% from the food we eat.
Now . . . this is the "mechanics" of the human body . . .
But . . . "science" . . . says . . .
"Current dietary guidelines . . . NO LONGER . . . set a specific numerical limit on daily "food cholesterol" intake".
In the past we were told . . . to keep this intake of "food cholesterol" to under 30% (that's 300mg) per day . . .
A little "higher" than what the body needs . . .
And "IF" you were at a high risk or had "high cholesterol" . . . you'd stay at the 20% intake.
But . . . in today's crazy world of "science" . . .
They NOW say . . . for most people, "dietary cholesterol" DOES NOT significantly affect blood cholesterol levels.
And the reason they give is this . . .
When our "intake" of cholesterol from this Western diet INCREASES . . . the body will PRODUCE LESS of the 80% the "liver" makes for optimal health.
Whoa whoa whoa . . . let's back up a minute . . .
What's wrong with this picture people???
It's the "liver" . . . that filters out the "bad stuff" in our blood and keeps us healthy . . .
So . . . how does LESS "liver" cholesterol . . . make this right???
So, tomorrow . . . let's continue . . .
