Understanding "Insulin" and "Weight Loss"

So, today . . . let's better understand the part that the hormone "Insulin" plays in our "weight loss efforts" . . . and better health!!!


Now . . . "Insulin" is primarily a "fat-storage" hormone . . .


Meaning . . . HIGH levels of "Insulin" . . . promote "fat accumulation" . . . and "inhibits" fat burning . . .


Which as we know . . . makes "weight loss" very DIFFUCULT to accomplish!!!


You see . . . when "Insulin" levels are elevated . . . the body "stores" energy . . . rather than using it.


And "chronic" high levels of "Insulin" . . . can lead to "Insulin resistance" . . .


Where cells IGNORE this hormone . . .


Which in turn . . . makes the "pancreas" produce even MORE "Insulin" . . .


And . . . we are "now" in a world of hurt . . . because this further promotes FAT STORAGE!!!


Especially . . . around the abdomen . . .


You know . . . that "inner tube" we seem to carry around the older that we get!!!


And this is why . . . "weight loss" is so hard to achieve . . . due to "Insulin" being constantly high . . .


Now . . . add to that . . .


Elevated "Insulin" levels in the body can "INCREASE" . . . craving for carbohydrates and "trigger" . . . the "Ghrelin" hormone . . . making us hungry . . . and "overeat"!!!


So, tomorrow . . . let's better understand the "Glucagon" hormone . . .
