So, today . . . let's continue with the "benefits" of adding a little "cayenne pepper" to your diet . . .
Next up . . . how can this "pepper" help with "weight management"???
Well . . . it can "boost" the body's "metabolism" . . . and "suppress" the appetite.
And its thermogenic (heat generating) effect . . . is what accomplishes that mission to burn more calories and therefore . . . FAT!!!
And it sends "signals" to the brain . . . telling it the stomach it's "full".
And with this . . . it can help reduce "fat storage" by inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes involved in "fat synthesis".
Now . . . "Cayenne pepper" is very "nutritious" and an excellent source of provitamin A and vitamin C.
And this little "pepper" can also . . .
Reduce the risk of CATARACTS and macular degeneration
Reduce the likelihood of anemia
Protect against certain chronic diseases like . . . heart disease,
Delay age-related memory loss
Eliminate acidity
Protect against non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
Prevent type 2 diabetes
and has a blood sugar lowering effect
So, you can clearly see after learning all we have over the past few days . . . "cayenne pepper" is a wonderful little spice.
But . . . LISTEN UP PEOPLE . . . NOT ALL "CAYENNE PEPPER" IS CREATED EQUAL!!!
Some have additives . . . and the ones from the grocery store can be questionable.
Why you ask???
Well . . . spices have a shelf life of about 3 years . . . but as they age and sit on the shelf or in a warehouse some where . . . they lose their flavor and potency.
So, "fresh" is always better!!!
Now . . . for my LOCAL people . . . if you're looking for a FRESH, ORGANIC spice mix . . . I can help with that.
And tomorrow . . . I'll tell you what that is . . . and finish our topic on "cayenne pepper".
