So, yesterday . . . we discovered eating a diet "rich" in "FIBER" can help to regulate the body's hormones . . . helping to alleviate "hot flashes".
Well, today . . . let's talk about some foods that can help . . . like "SWAP" foods . . .
"Swap out" for . . .
White pastas for . . . bean and legume pastas
Cereals for . . . Oatmeal
Protein shakes for . . . fresh fruit smoothies
Chips for . . . crunchy radishes, cucumbers or carrots
Mayo for . . . avocado
White rice for . . . quinoa or wild rice
White bread for . . . whole grain breads
Jams and jellies for . . . mashed berries
Crackers for . . . trail mix
Granola for . . . sunflower seeds
Corn for . . . peas
Ice cream for . . . banana "nice cream"
Croutons for . . . roasted chickpeas
Beef hamburgers for . . . black bean burgers
And for cooking . . . swap out . . .
Regular eggs for . . . chia or flax eggs
White flour for . . . oat or almond flour
And other ways would be to . . .
Swap out 1 serving of "meat" per day with . . . beans, pulses or lentils
Add "grains" and "beans" together for combination foods like . . .
Quinoa and rice . . . or . . . rice and beans.
Use seeds in salads
And snack on "unsalted", "unroasted", "unflavored" NUTS
And most importantly . . .
"ELIMINATE" foods that can "TRIGGER" HOT FLASHES like . . .
COFFEE
SPICY FOODS
CHOCOLATE
ALCOHOL . . .
So in a nutshell my friends . . .
You'd want to eat an "anti-inflammatory diet" . . . to help regulate the body's THERMISTAT!!!
