So, yesterday . . . we discovered that Conventional medicine feels the reason we have "bone loss" . . . therefore . . . "osteoporosis" . . . is due to a "low" level of "estrogen" in the body as we age.
And rightly so . . .
But . . . they treat this condition with . . . "Hormone Replacement Therapy" . . . meaning an added, increase in "estrogen" to the body.
Now . . . there are a few different ways to get this added "estrogen" into the body with elements like . . .
CONVENTIONALLY . . . "Estrogen" in pill form or skin patches . . but . . . these are "synthetics" . . . meaning "artificial, manmade hormones" . . . which are just a version of the hormone "estrogen".
And with this "synthetic" estrogen . . . they normally add . . . "Progestin" . . . also known as "progesterone" . . . which is added to reduce the risk of "uterine cancer" when this synthetic "estrogen" is taken alone.
But again . . . "Progestin" is a "synthetic, manmade hormonal drug".
Also . . . sometimes added into this "cocktail" drug for "hormone replacement therapy" . . . is the "synthetic" Testosterone . . .
But . . . the downfall to all these "synthetic" versions of normal hormones . . . cause an "increased" risk of cancer . . .
You see . . . "Estrogen Therapy (ET)" . . . can "increase" the risk of "endometrial cancer" . . . and are only safe?!?!?! . . . for women who have had a "hysterectomy".
"Estradiol Patches" . . . can "increase" the risk of breast, uterine or ovarian cancer . . . as well as blood clots, stroke and heart attack.
"Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) . . . can "increase" the risk of breast, ovarian and sometimes womb cancer.
So, in a nutshell LADIES . . .
Please, think twice about taking this avenue for some relief from menopause and/or osteoporosis.
Because . . . there are also risks of . . .
"Gallbladder" disease . . . and DEMENTIA!!!
So, to me . . . there are NO benefits worth taking any of these drugs . . .
And tomorrow . . . we'll talk about "Alternative medicine's" view on "osteoporosis", estrogen and menopause. And where "bile salts" fit into all of this.
