"Leptin" the "Fasting" Hormone

So, yesterday . . . we discovered that the "Leptin" hormone . . . has a lot to do with our overall health and weight loss journey . . .


Well, today . . . let's continue . . . because there's a lot more to learn about this wonderful little hormone . . .


We now know . . . that "Leptin" release . . . is triggered by an "increase" in BODY FAT . . .


Which in turn . . . signals energy abundance . . .


But . . . "Leptin" release . . . can also be triggered by "nutrient intake" . . . like glucose and amino acids after eating a meal . . .


So, in essence . . . "Leptin" . . . "Cortisol" . . . and the Vitamin D that the "liver" produces . . . all work to "regulate" appetite and energy balance . . .


And again . . . another reason to STOP consuming "caffeine" of any kind . . .


Remember . . . "caffeine" (coffee, chocolate) . . . doesn't play well with the Cortisol hormone . . .


Which in turn . . . TURNS OFF our "Leptin" hormone . . . and BOOM . . .


There's NO fail safe mechanism in the body to STOP US FROM EATING TOO MUCH or POOR CHOICE FOODS!!!


So yes . . . "low" Leptin levels . . . cause constant hunger and rapid weight gain . . .


And how do we fix this issue you ask???


Well . . . there's a . . . 30 - 30 - 30 rule . . . for correcting our "Leptin" levels . . . and for weight loss . . .


And that would be . . .


Eat 30 grams of "compliant" protein . . .


Within 30 minutes of waking up . . .


And then get 30 minutes of low-intensity exercise . . .


With NO CAFFEINE in this time frame . . .


So, tomorrow . . . we'll talk about how to "reset" our "Leptin" hormone . . .


And . . . how the hormone "Ghrelin" affects our overall health and "weight loss journey"
