Managing our "HUNGER" Hormone

So, we now know . . . the "hunger" hormone called "Ghrelin" . . .
"Rises" with a "pre-meal" surge . . . BEFORE we eat . . . to "initiate" hunger . . .
It then . . . "drops" with a "post-meal" decrease . . . AFTER we've finished eating . . .
This is the "normal" function of this hormone for optimal weight and health.
And "its" mission is accomplished when we "eat" lean "PROTEINS" and "COMPLIANT" carbohydrates . . .
BUT . . . "IF" . . . you end your meal with something SWEET . . . this little hormone . . . DOESN'T DECREASE!!!
So in essence . . . "weight management" . . . requires . . . BALANCING . . . these 3 hormones . . .
Cortisol . . . the stress and BELLY FAT PRODUCER
Leptin . . . the satiety and fasting hormone
Ghrelin . . . the hunger hormone
And "eating" at regular intervals . . . with at least 3 1/2 hour in between meals will help to "reset" these 3 hormones . . .
So, STOP GRAZING PEOPLE!!!!
Now, next week . . . let's talk about 1 more important "hormone" to our "weight loss issues" . . .
