What does "NO SUGAR ADDED" really mean?

Okay . . . so, yesterday I told you I had researched a NEW . . . "carbonated juice drink" by Michele Obama that's on the market today . . . targeting our "pre-teens" and "teenagers".


And it "claims" to be a "better" alternative to consuming "soft drinks" or "100% fruit juices" drinks.


It has "NO ADDED SUGAR" . . . and from reading the "creator's" commentary and their passion for this "PROJECT (key word here) . . .


I call . . . "BS" on "ANY" product that says . . . NO ADDED SUGAR!!!


Because all that "really" means is this . . .


There's "NO" conventional, manufactured "white sugar" ADDED to that product.


You see . . . according to the FDA . . . when manufacturers "claim" a food or beverage has . . . "NO ADDED SUGARS" . . . these "foods and drinks" . . . "cannot" be processed with "any" sugar or sugar-containing ingredients . . .


But . . . they "CAN" contain "sugar alcohol" or "artificial sweeteners" . . . and "natural sugars"!!!


AND THAT'S THE BIG "LOOPHOLE" here people . . .


So, let's better understand this process . . .


The "sugar" in "fruit" . . . is made up of the "simplest" SUGAR on the planet . . . and the body allows this "sugar" to "immediately" enter the "digestive tract" . . . and be "absorbed" by the cells of the body for IMMEDIDATE "energy"!!!


And with this . . . the body gets a "sugar high and a sugar crash"!!!


You see . . . when you consume a lot of "simple sugars" like in fruit juices . . . the body "breaks" them down "quickly" . . . which causes an "immediate" SPIKE in blood sugar . . .


And with this . . . it "triggers" the pancreas to "release" more insulin . . . which moves the "sugar" from the blood into the cells for energy . . .


Which is a "good" thing my friends . . .


But . . . after about an hour . . . the body . . . feels more "tired" than "before" we ate that "sugar" (fruit) in the first place. . .


So . . . the body "craves" for more "sugar" . . .


This is a "natural" act of the human body.


Okay . . . so, I'm sure you're now thinks . . . I thought it was "good" to eat "fruit" . . .


And you would be thinking "correctly" . . .


BUT . . . the PROBLEM here is this . . .


Picking up an apple or any natural fruit to eat . . . the body can "handle" that AMOUNT of "simple sugar" . . .


But . . . if you read this "new" product's ingredient label . . . it contains . . .


Fruit juice "CONCENTRATES" . . .


Which the body "CAN NOT" handle easily . . .


So, what does that mean???


Well tomorrow, let's get "educated" people . . . because this is the "health" of our children we talking about.
