Why "don't" diets work - continued?

So the question for today still remains . . .


Why "don't" diets work?


Well, first . . . cutting calorie makes the body "conserve energy" . . . which lowers the body's METABOLISM . . .


So you actually . . . BURN FEWER CALORIES . . . NOT MORE CALORIES . . . as we've been told by the "weight loss industry"!!!


Second . . . weight loss . . . "DECREASES" the hormone called "Leptin" . . . which is the satiety hormone . . . our "FASTING" hormone!!!!


PEOPLE . . . that's the one that STOPS us from eating soooooooo much!!!!


Weight loss also . . . "INCREASES" the hormone called "Ghrelin" . . . which makes us feel hungrier . . . and LESS full.


This is our "survival" hormone . . . when the body's thinks . . . its "starving"!!!


Remember, we spoke about the "SET POINT" mechanism . . .


And third . . . "dieting" makes food seem more "appealing" . . . which "INCREASES" the "reward VALUE" of food . . . and makes it harder to resist.


And this is why . . . "dieting" ISN'T easy!!!


And then add to that . . .


The more STRICT the "rules" are to our diet . . . the MORE cravings we'll have . . .


And with this . . . "breaking" a rule can "trigger" a . . .


"WHAT THE HELL ATTITUDE" . . .


Making us say . . . I'll start again tomorrow . . . which will lead to "overeating" today!!!


Another issue is the . . . "all-or-nothing" state of mind . . .


You know . . . all those food labels . . . the "good" vs "bad" food that lead us to the feeling of failure and quitting altogether . . . just by reading labels and trying to find something we CAN eat.


PEOPLE . . . "dieting" should NOT be about . . .


Extreme counting of calories . . .

Measuring of portions . . .

Or buying expensive special foods . . .


This is NOT realistic and . . . NOT what weight loss is all about.


It's about "correcting" the body's "internal dialogue" . . .


And listening to the "weight loss" system we have that's "naturally" set up in the body.


It's there my friends . . . the "diet" industry . . . just doesn't want us to know about it!!!
